HOW WE WORK

The sash before the sale.

Three undertakings that distinguish a Rowhouse listing from any other Georgian terrace listing.

I.

Architectural attribution

Every Rowhouse listing carries a documented attribution — architect, year, estate. We trace 1774 John Wood the Younger or 1810 William Burn or 1783 Bedford Estate. Verified attribution adds 6–9% to guide.

II.

Heritage joiner sash survey

A heritage joiner documents every original sash window — pulley, weight count, glass, paint analysis. The brochure includes the survey. Buyers thank us for it long after closing.

III.

Periodical XII

Every spring and autumn, Rowhouse publishes a 64-page periodical — printed by letterpress, hand-bound, sent to 1,427 private libraries. Three of our 2025 sales originated through the periodical alone.

A QUIET COMPARISON

Rowhouse vs. the open market.

Period townhouses are 80% architecture and 20% real estate. Most listings reverse the ratio. We do not.

TESTIMONIALS

From the people on the steps.

Maja identified our drawing-room sash mechanism as 1774 original and arranged for the heritage joiner to document it before the first viewing. The provenance went into the brochure.
